You can come by bus to Kabale and get the lodge shuttle while in Kabale or drive direct to Bwindi if having own transport means. You can travel to Kabale by Post bus at the cost of 25,000/= on any other bus stoping in Kabale and we pick you from the bus station to our office for finally arrangements. Post Bus leaves Kampala daily at 8:00 a.m except on Sundays to Kabale. Let us know when you are coming so that we pick you from the bus park.

It is 80 km (Approx. 21/2 hrs drive 43 km tarmac road and 37km on a murram road). You can reach there by any car from a saloon to a big overlander truck.

You can get to the lodge by the Shuttle which takes its clients every day from Kabale to the lodge(Bwindi National Park) at 10:30 a.m & 4:30 pm daily at Bwindi Backpackers lodge booking office /Uganda Tourism Information Centre near Highland Hotel. Booking for the shuttle in advance is recommended. You can also reach the lodge by private car hire which can be arranged for you by our office.

Price for the shuttle varies depending on how many people are on board, distances moved by Gorillas from the UWA meeting point&registration and the gorilla group location for those tracking Gorillas.  On the eve of the gorilla tracking its when we could be able to tell you distances which we shall need to drive from the UWA meeting point to the gorilla tracking point.  Our shuttle transports you from Kabale to Bwindi(Bwindi backpackers lodge),to Gorilla tracking meeting point&Back to Kabale or dropped to lake Bunyonyi.

To the lodge is 32 km on murrum road approx. 1 hr drive by car or hire motor cycle boda boda at 20,000/= one way. While at the lodge transport arrangements to your gorilla tracking point and back to Kisoro or Kabale can be arranged also call +256 752661854 for arrangements to be picked from Kisoro or Cyanika Boarder.

We normally have a shuttle from Nyabugogo at Virunga express park in Kigali office to Kabale daily at 3:00 pm(Rwanda time). Virunga express bus service have different bus terminals in Rwanda so board any Virunga bus from any part of Rwanda up to Kigali Virunga Express office in Nyabugogo taxi park. Virunga Express have costa buses on routes from Gisenyi,Musanze and Butare(Huye)For all intending to stay with us for more than 2 nights on full board basis get transport free from Kigali to Kabale.

If you are in Musanze(Ruhengeri) board the Matatu to Chanika-Rwanda-Uganda boarder you will be picked by our car at the boarder or in Kisoro town.
